It’s unbelievable how long it has been since I last updated my blog! If you follow me on Instagram, then you might already know that I recently bought a house! It has been very exciting but quite overwhelming at the same time because I’m learning that moving (or doing anything) with a toddler is so stressful and exhausting! We spent the first few weeks painting our home interior and now we’re in the never ending process of unpacking. If you have any tips on how to settle into a new home with a toddler, please let me know! I feel like everything is always a challenge with him and I can never get anything done!
Anyway, that is just a little brief life update. I hope that gives you a better understanding of where I’ve been. All the plans that I had planned for my blog in the summer had to be postponed but I’m working on new changes. 🙂
Well, now I want to shift gears into the main topic for this post, self-worth. What is self-worth and why is it so important? To me, knowing my self-worth is knowing my value. Growing up, I was very timid and did not think I had a voice. I learned how to overcome it over time and I realized that I have the right to stand up for myself. The reason why I’m talking about this today is because although I feel that I have grown into a stronger person, there are still some who perceive me as weak because they take my kindness as weakness. I just want to remind everyone that we all deserve to be treated with respect. You can’t always control how others treat you but you can control how you react.
Let me know what self-worth means to you. Is it something that you’ve always been familiar with, or is it something that you learned over time? I’d love to know!
