A Fresh New Take

I know I haven’t been very active on my blog but I’m so happy that I received so much support explaining why in this post. Learning how to balance everything in life is definitely a challenge and it’s something I’m slowly working on. Honestly, I really missed blogging but I have been turned off by how unauthentic it has turned. For that reason, I decided to take more time living in the moment and just focus on my daily life. The off and on breaks that I took were very much needed and I’m glad that I’m finally ready to have a fresh new take at blogging again!

One thing I’ve been doing more during my break is working out. I love going to fitness classes and having an instructor guide me, such as in barre class. However, another thing I’m trying to get back into is running. I used to do a lot of running in the past but unfortunately those days started declining. Now that it’s summertime and the weather is nice, I really want to take my workout outdoors and start running again. There is an audio personal trainer app called Aaptiv that offers several training programs and classes for every fitness level. It is perfect for a busy mom like me who needs motivation to work out and the trainers are there to really motivate you and push you to do your best. What’s really great about this app is that anyone can use it, and there are also maternity workouts for expecting mothers too!

While I’m on the topic of talking about having a new take on things, I just want to remind everyone that it’s perfectly OK to slow down and take a break sometimes. I used to be the type of person who was always living in the fast lane and doing everything at once. Unfortunately, I don’t have super powers and I can’t keep pushing myself without recharging. Some people see taking breaks as a sign of weakness, but it really isn’t. If anything, it allows you to clear your mind and think about what you should do differently from preventing a burnout.

I’m currently in the process of revamping my blog and trying to figure out what type of content I should no longer continue and what I should add. There are also lots of behind the scenes work that I will be working on. As always, if there’s anything you’d like to see more of then please let me know! 🙂

Taking a break from blogging is so necessary sometimes! I’m glad you’re feeling more refreshed and took the time to get into different workouts again!

Totally can relate to needing to slow down and take time to figure out things. I love that about blogging-it’s our medium and we can at least control this one thing in all the other craziness that life can throw our way:) I love following along as another stay at home mom too.
