Walking in a Winter Wonderland

I absolutely love winter time because I enjoy the cold brisk air and dressing up in layers. I have been wanting to see snow for so long, but surprisingly Seattle has gotten very little snow the past few years. You normally have to venture out of the city to see some these days. My family and I headed out of town during new year’s weekend to take my son to see his grandparents where we were guaranteed to see snow. The funny thing is that it actually snowed in the city when we left town! Funny how things happen! Anyway, my in laws live in a part of Washington that is much colder. There was about a foot of snow at their house and I truly felt like I was in a winter wonderland!

I felt like a little kid walking in the snow because as I mentioned earlier, we don’t get this much snow in the city anymore! I am so glad I packed warm clothing with me because I am not used to being in such cool temperatures. My jacket was perfect for this weather because it’s very lightweight but also keeps me cozy. I’ve also been wearing this beanie a whole lot since it keeps my head warm and matches with everything.

Another thing I’ve been wearing a lot lately are these boots. If you live somewhere that snows or has very cold temperatures, then investing in weather proof boots are a must! You get what you pay for and there’s no need for a leather protecting spray. I’ve gone many years wearing boots that only looked cute but didn’t keep my feet warm and had no grip. I love going on walks so it made sense for me to finally get a pair of boots that works well in cold weather.

Going through the photos in this shoot was so much fun! We have been experiencing cooler weather than usual in Seattle so I’m hoping for a winter wonderland here in the city!

Anyway, on a side note, I just wanted to give a million thanks to everyone who has been so supportive of my blog! I know my posts have been more fashion focused lately but I would still like to keep it a lifestyle blog and discuss various topics that others can relate to. Let me know what you would like to see more of in the comments section or any of my social media accounts! I would love to hear from you! 🙂
