October has come and gone and we are getting so much closer to the end of the year! I decided to make my October monthly gems to be a fall inspired edition since I absolutely love this time of year. There are so many gorgeous colors outside and it’s the time when we transition into our fall wardrobe and beauty products.
One of my favorite eye shadow palettes of all time is the Urban Decay Naked2 palette. I like how you can achieve a soft neutral look as well as a more dramatic smokey eye for a fun night out. There are shimmery colors as well as matte shades. It comes with a double ended shadow and blending brush so there’s no need to use a separate brush. Naked2 is my favorite out of all of the Naked palettes because not only is it perfect for fall, but you can wear these colors year round!
Fall is also about wearing the perfect lip and nail colors. I couldn’t do a fall inspired monthly gems post without featuring what I love to wear on my lips and nails!
Let’s me start out with the very top product in the picture below, and then we’ll follow up with the products laid out below from left to right. I received this NARS Velvet Matte lipstick pencil in Cruella as a birthday gift. It is a long lasting crayon with a smooth matte finish. This is an amazing red color with blue undertones and it will look great with soft eye shadow colors.
If you haven’t tried Sephora’s cream lip stains, you absolutely need to! I have it here in the far left in Marvelous Mauve #13. Unlike a lot of lip stains, this is very long lasting and doesn’t dry out your lips. They come in several colors but their mauve shade is my favorite!
The first nail polish that I’m sharing with you is Bahama Mama by Essie. It is a pretty deep plum color that will help your outfit pop! It looks great with a black outfit or a lighter neutral color.
Next up, we have a MAC lipstick in Shy Girl. It is a creamy nude color with a soft shine. What I love about this is that the formula is very moisturizing. This lipstick will go well with a smokey eye look that you can create with this palette.
Another nail polish that I love is Sally Hansen’s Commander in Chic. It’s a rich taupe color and I like how it dries quickly with a semi-matte finish. I would pair this color with soft colors so it can really stand out.
Bad Habit by ColourPop is a pretty dusty mauve color. It is a tad brighter than the Sephora cream lip stain but I don’t think it’s too overpowering. It dries smoothly and doesn’t transfer without a good quality makeup wipe.
This wraps all of my favorite fall inspired monthly gems! Thank you so much for tuning in! Please let me know if you have tried any of these products or if you have any recommendations for me!
